Concept™ - Antirrhinum
Concept™ is an all-new early flowering Snapdragon line. It can be used as a garden plant and as a pot plant for indoors. Concept™ varieties have an upright habit, a low vigor, excellent branching, large flowers and are nicely scented. The summer performance is excellent. It is a quick turning crop, easy to control and to schedule. The varieties within the line are homogenous in growth. And they tolerate up to -5 °C. So far the line is available in 6 colours.

Potting and spacing

Size of pot:10.5 - 12 cm; weeks 1-8; 30 - 45 plants per sqm (Concept series) For baskets: weeks 2 - 6, 5 plants per basket (Planet-series)

 

Growing medium

A well drained peatmitxture with at least 10% clay; add 2,5 – 3,0 kg slowrelease fertiliser. PH 5,6 – 5,8. feeding In the starting phase a fosfate enriched fertiliser will develop strong root system. When plants has a well developed rootsystem we can change to a multi-element fertiliser with a balanced N-P-K level. Avoid EC over 2,9 mS.

 

Temperature

Potting + 3 weeks of cultivation:  

20°C Main growing phase: 17 °C

Hardening: 14°C

Cool Morning:

Recommendable for compact growth. Start to use after the initial growing phase

 

Watering

A relatively dry cultivation tends to produce compact plants and early flowering

Plant is particularly sensitive to standing in stagnant water.

Very light and airy

Double pinch on 2 pairs of leaves, only pinch when plant is well developed and flower is shown in main stem.
